Commander's Call

Hello Legionnaires,

The month of November is going to be a busy month.

First and foremost, I want to wish every member and their families a healthy and happy THANKSGIVING.

Our membership campaign has been going very well. We are trying to get everyone renewed before the end of December so there is no lapse of your Legion insurance.

On Nov. 4th and 5th Bob has us out fund raising for the post. We need all of your support. Do come out and help.

November 11th is Veterans day, and we will be doing our Honor Guard services for the village, like we do every year. There will be guest speakers that day.

Don’t forget to go to your favorite restaurant for a free dinner for Veterans.

Check the flags on your houses and change them if they are badly frayed.

I am happy to report that our presence at the Golf outing has netted us a check from the Orland Park Veterans commission in the amount of $5000. Thank you all who came out and participated.

December 7th is our annual Christmas party at the Orland Chateau banquet hall.  Let Bob know if you are coming.

Tell your Congressman to pass the national Buddy check week. Keep our veterans safe.

Take the time to come out to a meeting and get reacquainted with old friends and meet some new ones.

Until next month, take care and we will see you soon.

Thomas Chambers, Post Commander
